A republic is not kept first in the halls of Congress. It is kept at the dinner table, beside the child’s bed, in the church pew, in the classroom, and around the family Bible. Chapter 22 of The Founders’ Quill reminds us that liberty cannot survive on information alone. The next generation must be formed in truth, virtue, faith, memory, and responsibility if America is to keep the freedom it has inherited.
